Women in Communications Engineering Child Care Grants
IEEE ComSoc and ComSoc's Women in Communication Engineering Committee (WICE) is happy to announce two options to support ICC Conference attendee childcare needs.
- Childcare grants: Grants up to $500 for will be available for IEEE ComSoc members seeking reimbursement of childcare in their hometown or onsite the conference. Grants will be available for ICC attendees who are IEEE ComSoc members.
- On Site Childcare: ComSoc has secured KiddieCorp, a licensed childcare provider to provide onsite childcare. ComSoc will pay a large portion of the costs to KiddieCorp and families will be responsible for $750 in costs paid directly to KiddieCorp. Childcare grants could be used to reimburse up to $500 of this cost. Families who participate in this program will need to sign additional paperwork with both IEEE and KiddieCorp. Spaces are limited and we encourage you to apply for a space asap.
On-Site Childcare Through KiddieCorp
IEEE Women in Communications Engineering is excited to offer on-site childcare provided by KiddieCorp.
Childcare is available from Sunday, 8 June to Thursday, 12 June, and will operate daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The cost per child is $750. Payment will be made directly to KiddieCorp. Reminder: WICE Childcare grant funds can be used to pay for these services and will be reimbursed after the conference.
Guidelines
- It is the participant's duty to review and assess the suitability of the services provided for their child through KiddieCorp. IEEE makes no guarantees or representations about the quality or suitability of any childcare services.
- The Women in Communications Engineering team will make every effort to group children of similar age ranges in each room. For example, children under 2 years of age will be in one room, while older children will be in the other suite.
- Space is limited, so you must register a child on the grant form.
- Following this, IEEE Legal will send you a link via DocuSign to formalize the agreement and we will provide your name and information about your child to KiddleCorp.
- KiddeCorp Registration: All families are required to complete and submit a KiddieCorp parent consent and waiver form prior to their child’s participation in the children's program. Participation in the program is strictly contingent upon the completion and submission of this form. KiddieCorp reserves the right to deny entry to any child whose parent or guardian has not provided a signed consent and waiver form. No exceptions shall be made to this requirement.
- IEEE does not endorse or recommend any services, nor does it assume any responsibility or liability related to them. Participants assume full responsibility and risk for using these services.
